The Salam Project: Youth Supporting Peace in Sudan

The Lost Boys of Sudan

The Lost Boys of Sudan escaped the persecution happening in their homeland by walking a thousand miles into Ethiopia and focused on getting an education.

This March three of them will speak at the NYLC service-learning conference. Come watch the event in SmallWorlds on March 26th to meet them!

Learn more about the Lost Boys here or check out their book!

About This Site

Global Kids and the National Youth Leadership Council invite you to help support peace for the people of Sudan, from wherever you are.

"The Salam Project: Youth Supporting Peace in Sudan" is a virtual service project that will use the virtual world of SmallWorlds as a space to learn about the peace process in Sudan, get inspired by other youth leaders, and learn what you can do in your own communities. From February 12 to March 26, join hundreds of others around the country who want to do their part for peace in Africa... and around the world. Then on March 26th, you can participate in a live video conversation with Benjamin Ajak, Benson Deng, Alephonsion Deng -- three of the "Lost Boys of Sudan."

If you are a youth facilitator, click here for a curriculum and workshops you can use with your young people.
